The AFH team provided Al-Mamlaka TV staff with a training program consisting of two specialized sessions that combined journalistic verification skills and data exploration through artificial intelligence tools.
🎙️ In the first session, Hazem Al Taqatqah, journalist and fact-checker, presented a workshop entitled "Fundamentals and Tools of Fact-Checking," going over the most important verification methodologies before and after publication, how to use digital tools to detect fabricated images, deepfakes, track airplanes and ships, and determine geolocation.
📊 As for the second session, Maha Salah El-Din, Outreach team leader and Data Editor at AFH, presented a practical workshop on exploring and analyzing data through artificial intelligence tools, focusing on the methodology of dealing with data from the moment it is collected until it is transformed into a journalistic story supported by clear evidence.
💡 This cooperation comes as part of our efforts to enhance the capabilities of newsrooms with professional tools that support accuracy and help journalists understand the digital context and deal with information with greater confidence.
